When you have leftover homemade cherry jam from danish making so you turn it into spiced cherry butter and then you turn that into the filling for a babka and then you’re finally like ok, maybe I need to stop compulsively stress baking and address some emotional issues 🍒😅 it good tho and it on the blog ✨

The Sunday Set 🍒 . . Cherry Cheese Puff Pastry Pinwheels: 🍒Make or buy puff pastry and roll sheet out onto lightly floured surface into 10 x 10. Cut sheet into quarters and place squares on baking sheet. Chill in fridge. 🍒Preheat oven to 400. Mix together half a block of softened cream cheese, two big spoonfuls of sugar, the zest of a lemon, an egg yolk, a splash of vanilla and a pinch of salt. 🍒Take pastry out out of fridge and cut each corner diagonally almost to the middle so you almost have an “X” shape but without the very center. Take the right side of each corner and fold down towards the center, moving around the pastry clockwise. 🍒Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture on the center of each pinwheel followed by a spoonful of your favorite jam. 🍒Mix an egg with a teaspoon of water and lightly brush the top of the pinwheels. Bake for 20 minutes. 🍒In a little saucepan heat up a couple spoonfuls of apricot jam with a couple teaspoons of water. Heat until it’s a little runny and then strain it. Once the pastry comes out of the oven you can lightly brush this over the top for shine ✨✨✨
